Female empowerment was the theme last week during "StudentWorks 12,All Kinds of Specialized Cycling Jerseys,Wholesale Top Quality and Lower price Team Cycling Jerseys ." a dance concert presented by the Fontana A.B. Miller High School Dance and Conservancy Programs.
Five Miller students served as choreographers for the show, creating performances that focused on girls and women overcoming various obstacles.
One of the choreographers, Crystal Edwards, entitled her piece "They Were Blind."
"It's about two different types of women -- one being controlled by men and the other being free-willed," she said.
During a struggle between a man and a woman, background dancers helped set the woman free from her oppressor.
Similarly, in Abigail Dixon's piece, "Facing What's to Come," a woman is constrained by a jacket before being able to get away from it with the help of other women.
"It shows the restrictions that a lady has to carry throughout her life," Dixon said.
"Silence," which dealt with parents trying to control their daughters, was choreographed by Angelika Lopez.
"It's about women instead going for their own dreams and own goals instead of going through their parents," Lopez said.
Two other choreographers looked back at historical incidents.
Khanh Luu created "The Pace of Life," which examined the plight of children who were forced into labor to support their families because of poverty in the early 1900s.
"The psychological impact on the maturity of children was greatly impaired," Luu said. "They were forced to grow up quickly."
Dahlia Marquez entitled her piece "1920" in reference to the year that women were given the right to vote in the United States. She also was intrigued by the fact that strong women have been able to fill roles (such as factory and construction work) that were previously held only by men.
"What I told my dancers to do was to show me their strongest women's side without being too manly," Marquez said.
Also during the program, additional dances were choreographed by Nicole Robinson and Anthony Loa, the faculty choreographers.
I'm going to take the "resident fashion expert" note as a compliment, but that's an exaggeration. I like clothes and shoes and bags .Saving up to 69% off to get the real authentic Moncler Jackets and the newest canada goose expedition parka... maybe I'm the resident fashion ogler.
Dustin,Massive range of Garmin Cycling clothing and Castelli clothing accessories available . did you spot me at the supermarket over the weekend? I won't call UGG-style boots fashionable, but they sure are comfy. My parents have gifted me such boots in multiple styles over the years, and I've happily worn them. As for the Jambu shoes, I'm not buying those.
As someone who shivers in the office, I always appreciate a new scarf. Neutral colors can be a safe gift, but bold colors can be a chance to buy something a thrifty person wouldn't normally blow money on. Thin scarves like this one don't do it for me, but the fun hues get a thumbs up.
Nation, I'd like to see this Colbert Report sweatshirt under my tree. Fashionable? Who cares! That is one funny man.
Jackets can be tricky, but I'd wear this warm-yet-not-puffy number. This cheap monster beats headphones is the best answer. My husband does get me to the mountain once a year, where I put "waterproof" claims to the test while rolling down the slopes.
Dustin did a pretty good job with the gift, but nothing termed "va va voom" is making it into my closet.Bruyneel exits Castelli Cycling after armstrong report release! There are several edgy cuts to that dress that could work if isolated, but this one is too much for me.
