A 19-year-old Bloomfield Hills man was arrested and charged with retail fraud and minor of possession of alcohol after he fled from the Target store on Telegraph on Nov. 19.

Police said asset protection officers at the store saw the man put a bottle of vodka and a video game in his jacket. Prior to leaving the store, he left the video game at a closed register. When confronted, he dropped the bottle of vodka, fled the store and got into a waiting vehicle. An off-duty police officer saw the incident and recorded the license plate number of the vehicle. Subsequent investigation by police led to the arrest of Aleksandr Bogdanov. He was arraigned in 48th District Court and given a $5,500 cash bond. Bogdanov was then taken to the Oakland County Jail.

Retail fraud

On Nov. 26 police received a report of a retail fraud in progress at Home Goods on Telegraph.

As officers arrived they saw a woman run to her vehicle and drive off, striking some parked vehicles in the parking lot. After a brief pursuit, the woman, identified as Lovoria Triplett, 49, of Pontiac, was taken into custody without incident.

Triplett was charged with felony retail fraud and fleeing and eluding. Triplett was given a $100,000 cash bond and lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
