After September 11, 2001, the increase in security has become the dominant in many parts of the world. These days, security measures can serve as physical examination or the introduction of a school explicitly knapsack policy simple depth, the company or stadium.

Although many parents and students are frustrated and claim that this is a sheer violation of child privacy, I disagree with them. In my view, such argument is similar to the one that children have an absolute right to privacy when using their PCs connected to Internet. We, parents, and the rest of society are responsible for ensuring safety for our children, that they are protected from themselves and others. We can't give them absolute privacy while they are working through the difficulties and troubles of adolescence.
Probably you heard about tragedies like gun killings at Columbine in 1999 and gunshot suicide committed by a student at Springfield Township High School. And I guess you heard even more about school shootings and children who brought handguns, knives and drugs to their school. All this proves that mandating clear backpacks - though doesn't entirely solve the problem - at least helps to reduce the number of students who bring illegal items into a classroom environment.
If we carry regular backpacks, a rainy day or water spilling may soak up books, papers and other supplies inside. Contrary to them, clear backpacks made of vinyl are waterproof which enables to avoid any damages to the storage items.
